This is far more than a shadowing experience. Interns will actively participate in the day-to-day operations of the clinic while working directly alongside veterinarians, technicians, and support staff.
Whether your interests include companion animal medicine, mixed animal practice, surgery, dentistry, client communication, herd health, or simply learning what area of veterinary medicine excites you most, our goal is to provide exposure, mentorship, and hands-on learning opportunities that help prepare you for a successful veterinary career.
What You’ll Do
- Shadow veterinarians during appointments, surgeries, and procedures
- Assist with patient restraint and handling
- Observe and participate in diagnostics and treatment planning
- Gain exposure to companion animal and mixed animal medicine
- Learn medical record documentation and case management
- Participate in client communication and education
- Work closely with veterinarians, technicians, and support staff
- Attend case discussions and treatment consultations
- Learn the business and operational aspects of veterinary practice
- Explore areas of veterinary medicine that align with your interests
Responsibilities will be adjusted to match your experience level, legal limitations, and educational background.
