About me
Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
About me
Dr. Shamus Brown grew up close in Graettinger, Iowa working on the family’s diversified livestock farming operation while raising and training hunting dogs. Those experiences, in addition to getting involved in FFA sparked his interest in the livestock and veterinary industries. That interest led him to Iowa State University where he studied Animal Science during his undergraduate studies and continued to do a dual Master of Business Administration and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine graduate degrees graduating in 2013. In October of 2023 Dr. Brown joined the Estherville Veterinary Clinic and Dr. Arlyn Omtvedt; and he became the owner in July of 2024.
“Many people become a veterinarian because they love animals, but for me it’s about the people and helping them solve a problem. My true passion and joy comes from helping people make decisions that they feel confident in. Veterinary medicine is the way I can help people make decisions about their pets and livestock.”
When Dr. Brown is not at the clinic he is likely on the family farm with his two boys Liam and Nathaniel and wife Casey. If not there he’s probably at an Iowa State athletic event or trying to chase pheasants with his hunting dogs.
